Pennsylvania Sunshine Program - Solar Grants

Pennsylvania has implemented a program to provide $100 million in grants in to make  solar energy systems more affordable for its residents and business owners.

Funding will come in the form of rebates offered on a first come, first serve basis.

The programs was authorized in July 2008 by the state legislature.

A total of $100 million (funded through state bonds) is available for rebates over the lifetime of the program. The DEP expects the program to last a total of three to four years.

In order to qualify, the work must be performed by a program-approved installer.  Conservation Concepts is proud to be an approved qualified installer under the PA Sunshine Program Approved Solar Thermal Installers.

So what does this mean in dollars for you?

It means that you may qualify for 25% of the installed cost of a Solar Water Heater! This is in addition to the 30% tax credit available from the federal program noted below!
